The WATEF members wish to express their heartfelt condolences to Professor Loet Leydesdorff’s family and friends on his passing. He was key to the establishment of the Asia Triple Helix Society, which transformed into the WATEF. His Korean academic colleagues will never forget the impact he had on our field. We believe he contributed immensely to the scientific field of scientometrics, which is now the foundation for big data analytics.
